I haven’t had this long but so far, it just goes and goes. I bought it after a roomba I ordered didn’t arrive and to date I am very happy with it.
It has a way of negotiating small obstacles which is pretty neat to watch since it has the capability to slightly lift itself (this is not always successful on small round things). It has a very low profile so doesn’t get stuck underneath any of the furniture the roomba used to get stuck under. Pet hair etc doesn’t get stuck in the wheels or sweepers and it doesn’t have the plastic rollers. This is good for me, however I do need to check sometimes and remove clumps of stuff (chewed up twigs, shredded paper etc all the things puppies steal and hide) that are too large to be picked up and can end up just being pushed around beneath the vacuum. I’m just glad it’s getting in to all those inaccessible places. It’s doing a great job and the bin holds a lot.
For the mopping you swap out the bin for the ‘mop bucket’. It’s simple and quick but I haven’t really used it yet or looked at the manual, just gave it a spin around the kitchen.
There’s a lot of functionality I haven’t played with yet, like timers and different cleaning methods because it does such a good job when I just press the go button and it is so quiet and unobtrusive, but I look forward to seeing what it can do.
As a roomba fan who is not prepared to pay the ‘Aussie tax’ this has been a great solution for me - and honestly even if doesn’t last 10 years, I could buy 4 or 5 of them for the same amount of money.
