This machine is perfect - Apple is at the top of the game as always
Excellent battery life, beautiful construction, a display with beautiful colours, fast with ARM64 CPU. I just got the base model and this really is a machine that won't disappoint. I mostly use mine for coding applications. I was able to find all the software I needed for the ARM / Apple Silicon CPU architecture, or if I could not I was able to run the Intel version with Rosetta. It's robust and durable, really as usual with Apple - this device is the pinnacle of design - a beautiful integration of hardware and software. Certainly beats the absolute hell out of those awful plastic Windows-based laptops.macOS inherits its speed and robustness from BSD based UNIX and Apple has crafted a UI and UX that is consistent and beautiful. Windows feels more like a disgusting mix of binaries and UIs in a few directories, slapped together without taste or a thought for consistency.

I've had this laptop for a few days now and I absolutely love this laptop in fact I'm actually typing this on the MacBook Pro base model right now. all jokes aside this laptop is both powerful and light I can play games that seem impossible for a laptop without spinning a singly fan and MagSafe is heaven I tripped over the MagSafe cable when I woke up and the cable fell down... but the laptop didn't. Don't even get me started on the screen 4K is beautiful I can watch YouTube in 4k and its even better with the speakers its just cinematic absolute immerse sound. this laptop is perfect for me . this is the part where I name the issues and they are the notch and pric, the notch doesn't annoy me per say but it makes the top of the screen a bezel and a little thick but the menubar is stored out of the way so its not really a problem. I got this laptop here when it was on sale for $2699 but at the time this is being written it is back to the rpp price. this laptop is amazing.

After owning this machine after almost a year I would like to re-assure you to totally. buy this laptop, yes it is pric-y but it's simply amazing.

This laptop just feels great. Everything is perfect in the usual apple fashion. The speakers are unreal for a laptop, somehow they don’t sound tinny like every other laptop speakers. Had my last MacBook Pro for 9 years so I think this one will easily last the same amount. This machine can handle anything without even starting its fan! My only gripe is that there are still some PC software that aren’t available for the Mac OS so I can’t fully transition across to apple for work and home.

Not going to mince words here. There is a lot of talk of the speed of the device. Not too sure if that can be felt. There is a lot of talk of twice the speed of previous generations. But you don’t really notice. I encode video. Expected it to be 50% faster. Maybe 5 to 10 %. Maybe it’s how I am using it. But that speed is not something that you can quantify, or is tangible. Love it. It’s great. But not as fast as I thought it would be.

It runs like butter and amazing. Everything about it is amazing. Can’t ever go back to other types of laptops now. Tried to continue to use my Lenovo thinkpad carbon x1 (gen7) and it feels like a 15 year old laptop compared to this.

What a beast of a notebook. The display, the speakers, the keyboard are amazing... and that M1 Pro processor is a complete beast. An excellent computer, and you have to love that 10% off retail. Fantastic!
