I purchased these to replace a cheaper set that had broken a speaker wire - the old set also was not good for side sleepers which is why I chose this pair. At first attempt to wear it was apparent that for light to be blocked the band had to be around the top rear of your head which meant the speakers were above the ears and very quiet. This does not suit when you are trying to block out noise from other sources. If the band is lowered so the ears are covered the mask no longer blocks light. The speakers are described as high fidelity but in reality are cheap and tinny. For the price they are probably ok but almost twice the price of others. These might be great with the right shaped head. I will persevere and if I find a way that works well I will update my review. On first looks though they are plush and seem to be a nice material but functionally disappointing.
Revision: After posting above I received the following advice from the seller:

Do you mean the device can't fit you well to meet your expectation both in blocking light and a proper volume simultaneously, right?
To assist with your case, I'd suggest you try on the following step after repeatedly testing with the mask.
1. First of all, please adjust the band and find a suitable length/place to ensure it blocks light.
2. Take note of the band's length in this situation.
3. Take off the band and adjust the speaker's position to ensure it is directly in front of your ear.

I followed these instructions and the outcome was a significant improvement! The light is now completely blocked and the speakers no longer hurt my ears when on my side and the sound is much better! Overall a good experience thanks to excellent customer support.
