I've upgraded from the original model and honestly if you already have anything newer than that - you probably shouldn't upgrade. This is still the same Nintendo console with no technological upgrades other than the OLED. Same performance as the original, same horrible performance within Nintendo eShop.

That said, the OLED screen is absolutely beautiful. The whole console simply feels 10x more premium with the new huge display. The stand is so much better. The dock now comes with built-in Ethernet port and looks a bit more modern.

And the Splatoon 3 Edition-themed controllers (and the back of the console + front of the dock graphics) are absolutely beautiful too.

Transitioning from old to new console was okay-ish... Had to re-download everything manually from the store :/

Whilst the console is the Splatoon 3 edition and has Splatoon 3 Colors and designs, there is no Splatoon 3 Game. No where in the description does it state that the Game is not included, except when you zoom up the image of the Box and then it is in the bottom corner and out of focus even on a 24inch monitor. This is appalling by Nintendo to sell editions without the games and inflate the RRP by 25%. All they are selling is overpriced base models. When you buy Playstation or Xbox special editions you get the actual game. Feel extremely mislead. Amazon said I could send back, but how's that going to go with the Kids, Nintendo making parents become the Grinch.
