I didn't have high expectations for this series but thought I'd give it a try for some solitary holiday binge watching. Stories about the times of troubles and the aftermath was not something I gravitated towards. What starts out as a straightforward murder mystery becomes a labyrinth of twists, big big surprises and secrets revealed. Friends become enemies and enemies become heroes. A great murder mystery becomes a character study with the question is there justice for all? Highly recommended.

I saw the first episode on TV and immediately ordered the whole series on Amazon. This is an exciting and
raw series which guides you through modern Northern Ireland, where the past went to rest, but never to sleep. Police and former members of the IRA and their opponents get a wake up call when one of them is
kidnapped. You can see the hand of the creators of 'Bodyguard' and 'Line of Duty' in the story and the
web of false leads and impressions they feed you. Are all the cops good guys, who is Goliath ? The younger cops who weren't there during the Troubles, but now have to solve the past and present crimes, with or against their superiors. This is a more than great series, with a brillant James Nesbitt as the main character.

Wonderful and full of suspense...I needed subtitles to follow the dialogue with the "sounds" of Gaelic in the speech of the characters...Wonderfully entertaining !
