I'm a pretty tough customer to satisfy, but I really don't understand some of the bad reviews I've read on here about this fan.
The Fan Blower. I like my room chilly at night. Like 68° chilly. With this fan simply on medium I leave my thermostat ar 72 and it feels great. For a relatively small fan, this moves a ton of air. Even at the low setting I can feel it well as I lie in bed, with the fan 15 feet away on a small table.
The Fan Build. Not really sure about a couple of reviews that talk about how awful it is that this fan sits on a tripod. I do wish the two front legs were heavy metal, like the back leg. It simply feels sturdier. But I've seen no issues with those front legs...that's merely personal preference, but doesn't seem to affect performance in any way whatsoever. The footprint is not large. Yes they spread as wide as the small fan itself. But so would a junky flat round piece of plastic, which would be easily cracked. The tripod actually allows you to run the cord underneath the fan if needed, based on placement in relation to your outlet. Furthermore, mine is on a 12" x 12" table on the opposite end of my bedroom, and is nowhere close to falling off. Overall this fan seems pretty darn strong and quality for a plastic body.
The Controls. Again, I'm a bit confused by people who are unable to simply tap the power/level button. That's all you have to do. Tap once to turn it on low. Another for medium. Once more for high. And again to turn it off. It's never failed to work perfectly. And these aren't the cheap buttons that'll wear off or wear down quickly.
The remote. This thing is TINY! But despite that, it actually seems really well made. It's not super cheap plastic, but actually has some heft relative to its size. The remote works perfectly. When turning the fan on using the remote it returns to the last speed setting you had it on while running.
Some people have mentioned that they'll likely lose a remote so tiny. Here's a little tip. I took the universal remote that controls my smart TV and soundbar and just used one of the unused device buttons to program it for the fan. Most universal remotes allow you to custom program any device that's control by a remote that uses IR - you simply have to hold the two IR glass bulbs (of the fan remote and the universal remote) to each other, so that your universal can see the signal being sent.
I really have nothing bad to say about this fan, which is rare for almost anything I buy, especially online. I'm super happy with this purchase and highly recommend. I'll be buying more of them. Just not from Amazon...this one was suppose to arrive in one time frame. Then a later one. Then a later one. Then the next day. Then the next. Then finally "you can request a refund now. It might have been lost." And that just happens all too often through Amazon. So I purchased elsewhere.
