I thought I would need two of these with an open plan house. I was amazed how much moisture this unit sucked out in a few hours. The 10 litre bucket filled several times. When we had a bout of extreme humidity recently with all tiled and sealed floors wet, really wet, I connected the supplied hose with scepticism…..it worked tirelessly. Only downside which I had read from other reviews, the unit will heat the room up to three degrees hotter, which is very noticeable. Air conditioning would probably cope with that, I would think, evaporative cooling is not effective with extreme humidity. I bought several hygrometers, one for outside, and for comparison, although the one on the unit is very accurate and as suggested put fans on to circulate the air which helped speed up the moisture extraction. The unit is very simple to operate, and although heavy is very mobile on strong wheels. I took it to every room and it even dried my clothes hanging on a clothes horse.
Very happy with my purchase, my only grumble is a longer electric lead would have been handy for the higher power points in bathrooms and laundries.
Over all, the unit is a sturdy workhorse, and very effective.
