Great for the price, unfortunately does not talk to Subaru XV TCM. ECU read features are similar to factory scan tools I used for Nissan and Toyota back in the early 2000s. Quiet impressive really.

Simple unit (can't change keys or anything ) easy to use and powered from the diag. port, it shows any active fault codes. A good useful basic diagnostic tool. After using it I saw the value of a good unit (key coding, real time data etc) and spent a small fortune.Great tool to use to find initial diagnosis - shows if your mechanics being "straight" with you... Worth it just for that, could save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.. Who needs a 2020 car with 15 or 20 computers in it????

    Communication error issue

    I'm sure it is not a bad product. My Toyota Corolla is OBD2 compliant but I was unsuccessful in getting the scanner to communicate with the car. I tried all the recommended fixes and all the tips found on Youtube but have given up trying to get it to work. Communication error, very disappointing.

    Great little tool

    Good tool for the money only does the engine side of things as expected. Only down side is its a bit slow and clunky but that's when compared to $5000+ professional scan tools

    Ok for price

    It is ok for detecting and hopefully to reset engine fault codes, On z4 BMW but a lot off functions come up with not compatible with this vehicle. As Long as it reset code I will be happy as this is what I brought it for otherwise I will be back to complain bitterly.

    No instructions

    I sure this device works but there are no instructions in how to use it. The quick starter guide that comes with the unit is very brief and is a bit strange.
