Works at a basic level only. Far too many issues to recommend.
Note: Be aware that included cables have ends which are fat thus difficult to push through walls, you are probably going to need a proper CAT5/6 cabling set. That's OK, no harm done. The system is poorly translated and largely undocumented, as is typical for Chinese brands. That would be OK, if it worked. It doesn't.
Problems: The motion detection works quite poorly, specifically (1) In some low light / evening conditions it will constantly trigger no matter what settings you use ... making the whole event-based recording model totally broken. (2) Other times people or animals can walk through the frame and it won't trigger at all! Therefore, if you need motion detection - and you almost certainly. do (who has time to look at 24 hours of video x 4+ channels?) - then you may be better served by looking elsewhere. You could use this as a starter kit then upgrade to a Linux based NVR system with properly configurable motion detection. (3) I would also have liked to have seen audio event based triggering, this is not present either. (4) There is insufficient processing power on board even for four cameras, let alone more. Therefore it drops out a lot when you expect stable operation. (5) To get any cable run over around 5m working you need to select that camera, then go to POE, then set 'Long distance'. Otherwise it won't work. This was a major time waster. Even then it often drops out. (6) I experienced random resets of the NVR system as well as of individual cameras. Unsure if these are systemic but that is not what I want in an NVR. (7) The first time it rained, the camera mounted exposed outside to a pole stopped functioning. I can only assume the weather seal is so bad as to be unsuitable for outside use. I noticed before it went off permanently it was going off a little and the PoE screen showed higher than average wattage. Since I had to pay someone to climb the pole and install it, I can't really go and have a look, but it was working before it rained and now it's useless. (8) Unsure if it's possible to get data off the system, basically this would be nice to do via a local network but they instead want you to use some sketchy manufacturer provided cloud system - err, no way. I never let this sort of junk connect to internet, it's asking for problems.
All up I would say this product is pretty bad, the cameras have nice night vision and it very basically functions but there's really nothing to recommend it otherwise. It seems this is the bottom rung version of some series of products which probably is incomplete or doesn't yet work, for instance many alarm types are not available.
Buy something else.
