The 3 for 2 Amazon offer made this economical. It is PVC versus the harder Polyester window films I used previously. This makes it a bit harder to handle but still OK. Fitting is fine with plenty of water. I used dog shampoo. After trying to cut from the inside after an American video, i.e. with a ruler outside ... and tearing the film, I went back to the Oz method and cut with the useful Two-Way Painter's Tool on the inside. This gave a far better finish. While the film made a good cut in heat transfer on my west-facing windows, I was surprised you could still see through in daylight from outside. Polyester films reflect ALL visible light. As I was treating two toilet windows, this was of mild concern. Still, it cut visibility by 50-70% close up and probably more from a way away. On balance, I bought a second lot!

Was easy to apply to clean glass, easy to cut to size. Lets light in, blocks UV rays that lighten bathroom towels, rugs, etc., and was available at a great price.

Wanted something for new glass door to cut on the heat and glare. This silver was perfect as black film would have been too dark. Nice thickness and easy to apply.

5.0 out of 5 stars This worked great for tinting a Lexan window on my house
Reviewed in the United States on 22 March 2024

After a couple of neighborhood teens broke one of the windows on my house, I decided to replace it with thicker impact resistant Lexan instead of glass (in case they decided to try again). My windows have always been tinted with privacy film and when I started looking for a film that would work on Lexan, I ran into a bit of a problem. Apparently, tint films with glue won't work...as the Lexan continues to outgas and bubbles will form between the Lexan and the film.

I decided to give this no-glue static cling film a go since it was inexpensive enough to test. It was easy enough to install and clings just fine to the Lexan. It's been on the window for a couple of weeks and so far no bubbles. The true test will be how it does this summer but so far I'm very pleased with the result.
