I paid $100 for this delivered and inside was the projector (dust-cap), well packed, a AU power lead, remote (no batts inc, needs 2xAAAs) a HDMI lead and folded, 1 page printed manual. I turned it on, focused it and was very pleased since it was about mid-day on a bright summers day that I could in fact see a picture. Id say as a photographer, about 200 LUMENS which isn't bad! Next, its a REAL 1080P and thats unknown for the cheapie end of the market! For his money you don't get auto focus and auto keystone and I can live with that and it has no SMART TV features, another plus as I have a 4K Amazon Fire-stick and aside from the challenge of programming the fire-stick with the no-name projector challenge, I have no complaints as the picture was very good, extremely good build in stereo sound was surprisingly good (and thats before I use the fire-sticks BT to BT Sound-bar for outdoor movies (projected onto the side of the house 120" worth). For the asking price I have NO reservations giving this the thumbs up!
What its not is portable, you need a power lead (and extension cord) as well as a nice sound-bar for outside use. Transportable, yes but again not pocket small... Before use I also recommend you clean the side filter as the fan does its job of keeping things cool, its only effective with the filter clean! The last point is this isnt silent, you can hear the fan but as soon as your playing a movie with sound, it cancels it out and with a soundbar its not even noticeable but it does kick out some heat as its not one of the newer fancy DLP/Laser light projectors as the price for these are $1500-5k... Not a short throw, max size 120-150" is 3-4m back from the screen. It has the ability to digitally lower the screen size down to 75% which is handy.
Ive been cruising reviews, youtube and lists from reviewers and at the cheap point of the market its slim pickings, next up on my list at x3-5 this price is the K1, a 4k/1080P, then the nicer again $1500 (1080P)- $2500 (4k) Xgimi Horizon/Pro. But for $100 to dip your toes, Im telling you the water fine, time to get wet!
