I have been a user of Moho for over 10 years. It’s my go to animation software and an essential tool in my workflow. I have also released a few courses and a book on how to use the software. I think it’s a fantastic investment for anyone interested in animation.
The Debut version of Moho is a great way to enter the animation world on a budget. You get access to some of Moho’s best features: the Bone system, camera, multiple layer types and vector tools.
Moho can be used to create any style of animation from something like Family Guy, South Park or Archer, to Anime or anything in between. You can design everything in Moho or import outside images, or even combine the two. A streamlined yet powerful set of tools for creating fun animations.
As stated, Debut is streamlined compared to Pro. You will find more options with Pro, but Debut is a great place for beginners or hobbyists. Even better, if you realize down the road you need more functionality, you can easily bring your Debut project files over to Pro and keep building up your work with the enhanced toolset.
Bottom line: if you’re curious about animation but don’t want to invest a lot, this is a great place to start. It showcases some of Moho’s best features, is functional for creating standalone productions and allows for further expansion with the optional Pro version.

My order arrived on time. However, when I tried to install it - it didn't. I tried on the official site, (as mentioned on the box), - but still no luck with installation of this software.
1.0 out of 5 starsSo far not good, and I'm a quick learner with editing software and I animate with other applications

I animate with Adobe products, I went to school for Art. I know what I am doing when it comes to photoshop, blender, and so many aplications, including animation software.
After seeing this application as a cheap alternative to Toonboom, I was sold. However, there is so little learning material available online and most of it is from 3 years ago (or further back). This tells you there is an issue with the application from the start.
Consider Blender, or Photoshop, I can find thousands of tutorials and google any question to learn something, but with Moho, this is not the case.
Gripes: Highest resolution is 900x900 which means you will not get 1920x1080 resolution. why?
It will not allow you to group layers, despite every tutorial showing this being something you need to follow along and make a character rig. (as few tuts as there are for some reason, why?)
Everything looks terrible while you are creating things, they should render smoothly.. oh yeah nope, 900x900 res max for some reason (who on earth uses that small size?)
I may stick with my current apps, as it seems I have to upgrade for another $300 to have basic features (such as grouping, you know a thing most editing software provides as part of the package).
