Ok, those are marine binos. Presumably with ranging reticle, compass and waterproof. Lets go item by item.

First of all, being marine/cavalry type means that there is no central adjustment. To focus, you adjust each eyepiece independently (instruction by the way says otherwise). This is not great, but this is how generally this type of binoculars is, you'd have same with Steiner. Keep this in mind.

1. Make and feel. Nice and heavy, quality is somewhat good, although chinese heritage shows. Nothing serious, just a little sloppyness here and there. I'd probably describe it as 'not bad'. Thoroughly rubberised, rubber mostly stays where it supposed to be. Front caps are not perfect fitting, but OK. Eyecups could be softer.

2. Neck strap is wide and padded, but actual straps that connect to binos are very flimsy and very polyester. I have secured them additionally on mine, otherwise i can see that thing getting undone. Probably will replace with some decent camera strap in future.

3. Bag/case is nice, padded, with good buckles. Nothing to complain here

4. Ranging reticle is, well, reticling. Compass is annoyance and not very useful: it rotates only if you are looking like 30 degrees down or shaking binos. Also it is affected by focusing the eyepiece and on some settings you just cant see it clearly as it is wildly out of focus. It blocks quite a bit of right eye area too. It still can be used (and somewhat accurately), but there is a noticeable and not very straightforward effort required.

5. Optics is pretty good. Axes are aligned, exit pupil is fairly large, eye relief is less what I'd expect but is fine. There is some sort of coating evident, image is reasonably bright, sharpness is good and uniform across the field. Make no mistake - its not as sharp as decent mid-level brand binos, but still fairly impressive. Same goes for brightness, impressive for what it is, but steiner it is not. Still, way better than crappy cheap binos with orange lenses.

6. Max interpupilar distance is not that large and at some point reticle stops being horizontal/vertical. Minor thing, but if your eyes are spaced like in Guillermo del Toro movie, you are in trouble. I have pretty wide spacing and for me its still fine.

Compared to others, i'd say they give better resolution than nikon sportstars of 25mm objective, probably slightly less contrast than them. A bit worse than 8x30 celestron in terms of sharpness and contrast (but those celestrons are damn good, so no shame), a bit better than 8x25 from same chinese brand. Way, way better than bino-like objects that litter cheaper price range.

Do I like them? Well, yes, as i specifically wanted marine-ish binos. If i didn't have that desire for marine affiliation, getting basic nikon oculon or olympus DPS 8x50 or 10x50 for roughly same price probably would be much better money spent. But, if you like this particular style - these aren't bad option.

Average field of view. Hard to see compass. Compass is out by about 5 degrees and no adjustment possible.
Poor stitching on the bag and straps. Holes in straps. Would break first time you use them.
Lens covers fall off by themselves.
Would do as a secondary pair but don’t reply on it for a navigation item.
The red light on the compass at night is good but it’s hard to see.
Save your money.
