Product description

Expanded super deluxe four CD edition includes bonus CD of outtakes plus two CDs of tracks recorded Live At The Paramount Theatre. Digitally remastered 25th Anniversary edition of this album from the beloved Seattle rockers. Originally released on October 8th, 1991, Badmotorfinger spawned three singles that have become iconic songs of rock: 'Jesus Christ Pose,' 'Outshined' and 'Rusty Cage.' Badmotorfinger was the band's third studio album. After touring in support of it's previous album, Louder Than Love (1989), Soundgarden began the recording sessions for it's next album with new bassist Ben Shepherd. The music on the album maintained the band's heavy metal sound while featuring an increased focus on songwriting as compared with the band's previous releases. The focus on the Seattle grunge scene helped bring attention to Badmotorfinger. It became the band's highest charting album at the time on the Billboard 200. In 1992, Badmotorfinger was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.

The Badmotorfinger Super Deluxe Box Set is an absolute must for any Soundgarden fan!

Aside from it being Soundgarden's best record, this reissue expands on the album with outtakes of each album track, plus the b-sides from that era. Each one of these outtakes is a good as, or better than it's respective album cut.
It's worth noting that the version of 'New Damage' on the outtakes cd, is not actually an outtake but a re-recording of the track which features none other than, Brian May.

The box also features an incredible concert from the Paramount Theatre in 1992 on CD and dvd, plus a re-release of Motorvision on DVD for the first time. There are also some extra live performances thrown in as a bonus.

If that wasn't enough already, then there's also a blu ray featuring the albums and it's b-sides, in brilliant 5.1 audio. There is also the added bonus of the three promo videos for the singles as a bonus feature.

It's all packaged in a beautiful box with a great book and some patches. Oh yeah, and the wheel spins on the front of the box! What more could you ask for??

I can guarantee that if you buy this box, you'll be looking California. If you don't, you'll be feeling Minnesota.

This album is a criminally underrated masterpiece often "outshined" by its successor, Superunknown. (See what I did there?) An immensely detailed and complex album, full of unique songs that catch very easily, keeping you from forgetting about its genius sound for very long. (In particular, songs like 'Mind Riot' and 'Holy Water' come to mind when mentioning this) The 57 minute runtime across 12 tracks will be an hour of highly enjoyable listening that will leave you speechless, and is a must-have for any music enthusiast.

Esto es simplemente un CLASICO de la historia del Rock! Y al recopilar de manera tan efectiva tanto los demos como remasterizar esta obra de los 90s combinado con una versión en 5.1 del mismo, más los conciertos en the Paramount y toda su videografía hasta esa fecha es algo que para cualquier fan es super gratificante! La calidad del sonido es increíble, especialmente en la versión 5.1! Te sumerge en el sonido base de una banda que lideró la escena de Seattle incluso antes de que Nirvana estuviera en el panorama, este disco es una de las piezas angulares de la era del Grunge y como muchos grandes conocedores lo ponen como uno de los mejores 10 discos de rock alternativo de todos los tiempos. Como un extra cabe mencionar que el logotipo sobre la caja da vueltas al apretar un pequeño botón que viene en la esquina inferior derecha y que al beat de la música queda perfectamente como decoración durante unos minutos, haciéndolo un artículo de colección único y auténtico! Aspettavo da un po' che uscisse una bella edizione di questo album. Dopo aver acquistato,nel 2014 la super deluxe di "Superunknown" non ho avuto quindi dubbi per impossessarmi anche di questo splendido box, che presenta un simpatico meccanismo che fa ruotare il disco di metallo in copertina (pila inclusa). 7 cd con album rimasterizzato, bonus track e live più un blu ray che presenta l'album in versione 5.1.
Insieme alla riedizione di "Temple of the dog" è stato uno degli acquisti più azzeccati di quest'anno. Peccato che, come al solito, il vinile sia venduto separatamente.
