I haven't really used the remote more than once, so I did not rate that aspect. But when I did use it, it was easy to connect & use. I also really appreciate that I can charge it, as opposed to being forced to change batteries. I do recognise that a rechargeable battery has its own pros & cons depending on its quality.
I primarily use it as a tripod for FaceTime calls with my iPhone. As long as it is placed on a solid & even surface with enough room for the feet to fully extend, it is quite stable. I am quite careful with the feet, because the do seem a little flimsy & like they would be easy to break if used roughly. There are only two degrees of movement available when using as a tripod, so excessive horizontal movement could be an issue (i.e. multiple people using the same device).
For the mid-range cost of this product when I purchased it, I am happy with it. It is a little heavy to be used for an extended backpacking trip, but light enough for day hikes & sightseeing excursions. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a functional & portable selfie stick with a tripod and remote.
