Being an avid apple fan (fanboy!), I had a certain standard i was expecting on this one.. It is good, don’t get me wrong, the thin design and nice pastel colour combination is all good. However, coming from the old 27inch iMac the screen real estate certainly takes a big hit (this is not their fault, and I’m sure they will release bigger model next year some time). 1) My screen looks somewhat crooked, i tried to measure the distance between the desk and the lower frame of the monitor on the left and right corner, they are slightly off but looking at it in real life, compared to my dell monitor, something is just not right about the tilt. I can’t pinpoint what it is. 2) no height adjustment - didn’t think this’d be a big deal, but it is huge. With a smaller screen and same height off the desk to the lower edge of the screen, it just doesn’t look comforting to have a small screen with same chin as the old model without being able to lower it closer to the desk. 3) external monitor connectitivity - i know, i know, this has been discussed for ages online and you can buy a separate dongle for usb-c to hdmi adapter function, but it is unacceptable that Apple has not fixed this. When my dell monitor worked perfectly fine with the old MacBook Pro (intel), being unable to use my monitor as a secondary monitor without having to buy a separate hardware is unacceptable. This should be a software fix but it hasn’t happened for my monitor s2721qs.

All in all, it probably is still a very good deal for the price but there is just something about this iMac model that lacks the wow factor, apart from looking pretty and thin.
