Not compatible with phone/iPad cases
All works well, except that the housing around the USB C connector is too large for use with phone/tablet cases. Easy fix with an extension, but makes this product four instead of five stars.

Summary: Good value for AUD $55

Working great so far, except that if I leave the laptop and it sleeps, then most of the time my external display won't turn on again unless I unplug-replug the dock. It does run a little warm, especially when using "pass through" power, which makes me wonder about the long term life of the product, but it's not hot enough to be concerning, and the pass-through means one less USB-C port is used on the laptop.

Details:

For my 2020 MacBook Air M1 (ARM) I needed the usual sorts of ports to add to the paltry 2 USB-C ports that are included. In particular I needed one for a display to drive my (old-ish) 2560 x 1440 DVI-2 monitor. I already have a DVI to HDMI adapter for it that I was previously driving via a Mini Display Port (aka Firewire?) port on my old 2013 MacBook Air. This display had been fiddly to get working previously, requiring many adapter and cable attempts to find the lucky combination, so I was concerned the HDMI port might not work.

To my great relief, HDMI worked first try and has had no problems while working. The only glitch has been when the laptop goes to sleep. Most of the time the monitor will remain "off" when the laptop is on again. Unplugging/re-plugging the HDMI port does not help. Unplugging the docking adapter at the laptop and then plugging it in again DOES work. However, that can be inconvenient when other devices are attached like hard disks. I like to leave a backup hard disk attached, so to be safe I have to unmount-remount that as well.

I have used the ethernet port successfully. It connected to my switch at 1GB and I was able to copy files at ~30 MBytes per second (likely limited by my source).

I have not used the CF or SD card reader at all.

I have used the USB-A ports for:

* 2 different USB-3 hard disks - no problems at all
* Yubikey - no problem
* lightning cable to iPhone - no problem

I have used the USB-C port only for the laptop's power supply. This works fine in pass-through mode. However, the dock does get quite warm, so I'm tending to use one port on the laptop directly for the power adapter and the other port for the dock. I have not yet tried plugging another USB-C device into the dock.

Good value for money.

Connected this to an M1 iPad Pro 12.9 2021 and everything worked perfectly, including the HDMI and the network adapter. Have tried a few others but typically HDMI output did not work when connected to iPad. This one worked perfectly. Nice format, small but effective

I bought the hub primarily to power USB-A devices. However, I thought it would also allow me to connect a USB-C device as output, whilst the hub was being powered from my MacBook Air. The plan was to run the power supply directly into the Air and have the hub connected to the remaining Thunderbolt/USB-C port of the Air.

This configuration does NOT seem to pass through USB-C data connectivity. It seems the "USB-C Power Delivery port (PD)" is only an INPUT port for power.

Apart from that misunderstanding, the hub seems to be working fine. I've not yet tested the HDMI out but have run it with all three USB-A ports occupied, mix of iPad, SSD and external hard drive.

There's one gotcha on Mac - make sure you change settings so the computer does NOT go to sleep when the display sleeps, on power adaptor. The default sleep settings mean the computer sleep lets the hub sleep and drives are disconnected without ejecting.

I was looking for something small and compact to travel with that could read SD cards, hook up USB devices to my tablet (which obviously has USB c) and could be used to charge multiple devices overnight. this thing is perfect. UNBEKNOWNST to me, this thing doubles as a portable SWITCH dock! I was looking at portable docks and realized, this thing has all the same ports. hooked it up with a battery pack, and my nebula capsule, viola. I can literally play switch on the airport wall with no power outlet on a 100 inch screen. pretty cool. build quality and finish are great! outlets all seem sturdy.

2 things that I'd love to see in this:
-surge protection built in (maybe not necessary or feasible due to size)
-retractable USB c so you could get rid of the loop (doesn't fit well in my case)

all in all incredibly happy with this buy. a very useful tool for any geek!

Porém não funcionou. No notebook o mouse para do nada e o teclado perde o foco de onde estava escrevendo. No celular só dá pra ligar se tirar a capinha, o USB não cabe.
