Down Under range operates with ease in temperatures up to 47°C which makes it one of the best performing 12V fridges on the market for hotter environments.

SECOP COMPRESSOR
Evakool's goal for the Down Under Series was to create a highly efficient 12V refrigeration system, and that begun with a Secop compressor. Previously known as Danfoss, the Secop compressors are a German designed and engineered product and is the best compressor on the market. Not only does the Secop increase efficiency, its quality will see it through its days - that's why they back it with a 5 year warranty!

ROLLBOND EVAPORATOR
Evakool utilises a rollbond evaporator system rather than a copper pipe evaporator system for a multitude of reasons. The rollbond system allows for better heat transfer by having direct contact to the heat source, as well as better heat absorption due to a larger surface area. This system has proven to have higher efficiency rates due to its quality, which also helps to ensure a longer lifespan for the fridge freezer.

AIR COOLED CONDENSER
Evakool has utilised an air cooled condenser system due to a 30% increased efficiency in comparison to a static condenser system. The air cooled condenser is produced from high quality copper and aluminum that has proven to be more beneficial in the extraction and removal of heat during the condensing process. This system in conjunction with the Secop compressor and rollbond evaporator increases the overall functionality of the refrigeration system and ultimately lowers power consumption.
