Over the past decade Dog Point Wines has established itself as one of New Zealand's leading wineries, with their Sauvignon Blanc consistently rated among the nation's finest. The 2019 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc is another brilliant example that combines the vibrancy, balance and underlying complexity that have made previous vintage so popular.
TASTING NOTES
Colour Pale straw
Nose Bright, fresh, citrus driven sauvignon, with elements of honeydew melon, pears and gala apples in the background. A very pure, yet restrained, classic sauvignon expression.
Palate The citrus core of flavours are juicy and intense. Deliciously refreshing saline acidity and mellow rounded texture on the finish. The wine calls for fresh, simple seafood, but as usual, can be enjoyed on its own.
FOOD PAIRING NOTES
Matches shell fish (particularly mussels and oysters), white meats and soft cheeses to a tee.
