Japanese engineered and tried and tested in Australia's harsh weather conditions, the Uniden UHF two-way walkie talkie with built-in microphone is perfect for use while hiking, bike riding, camping, or just out walking. These compact handheld walkie talkies feature an Ultra High Frequency range with a transmit power of 500mW for communicating within a range of 3 plus kilometres (1), and are capable of achieving even further range with access to local repeater stations (depending on your location) by activating the Duplex operation key. The Uniden UH35 series 80 channel (2) handheld radio provides up to 20 hours of operation time (3), automatically switches to Power Save mode within 3 seconds of inactivity whilst still receiving transmissions, and displays a battery low indicator so you know it's time for a battery change. It features an LED display, push-to-talk key, key lock, plus channel scan and volume keys. The UH35-2 radio requires three AAA alkaline batteries (sold separately). Hear clearly, and be heard clearly with Uniden's UHF compact handheld walkie talkie two-way radio. (1) Range may vary depending on environmental and/or topographical conditions. (2) CH 22 & 23 are used for telemetry and tele command applications, voice communications are not permitted on these channels and transmission is inhibited. CH 61, 62 & 63 are guard channels and are unavailable for use. (3) Operating time 20 hours based on 5% transmitting, 5% receiving and 90% waiting mode with Alkaline Batteries.
