50% lighter with a cast aluminium body

Our Featherweights collection is the perfect alternative to yourtraditional cast iron casserole. Because they are made of cast aluminium,Featherweights casseroles are up to 50% lighter and heat up 3 times faster. Soinstead of losing time preheating your casserole, you can get cooking straightaway. This collection can be used on all types of hob, including induction.

The inside is coated with a Thermolon Infinity Professional healthyceramic non-stick layer, reinforced with diamond. This way, food doesn't getstuck to the pot and your dish doesn't bake on, even if you leave it simmeringfor hours. Extra bonus: after cooking, you can clean your casserole with onequick wipe. Its even dishwasher safe.

An oven on the stove

GreenPan Featherweights are not only extremely easy to use, the designis also a great example of innovative technology. The lid has a specialpattern on the inside, which captures condensed moisture during the cookingprocess and returns it to the food. This keeps all the ingredients succulent.

Thanks to their smartdesign, the Featherweights casseroles work like a mini oven on the stove.However, if you prefer to use your Featherweights casserole in the oven thatspossible too (up to 250C). In short, all the advantages of a classic cast ironcasserole in a new and user-friendly design.

Care&Use

Dos:

         Preheat your pan at low to medium heat setting (ceramic non-stick =super quick heating)

         Add a small amount of oil or butter when preheating

         We recommend using silicone and wood utensils for your coating to last longer

         Use pan protectors to store your cookware, that way you wont damage the non-stick coating

         Clean your cookware after each use, leftover fats can carbonize fast

         In case of a brownish layer (carbonization) gently scrub with a melamine sponge and some plain water

Donts:

         Avoid overheating to prevent food or oil from burning and carbonization

         Avoid preheating at high temperatures

         Never let oil/butter smoke or burn

         Avoid Spray oils, always use oil or butter than can withstand high heat (e.g. coconut oil, peanut oil, vegetable oil)

         Non-stick cooking sprays should never be used, these sprays contain propellant (typically Lecithin) that causes build-up and can damage the non-stick coating

         Avoid Virgin olive oil as this carbonizes very quickly

         Avoid thermal shocks, allow cookware to cool completely before washing
